Lift Off!

Dear Son,

Well, today is the day that we fly to LA; that is,of course, unless Northwest cancels our flight due to Pilot sick-leave. Whew! The times we live in! Nothing seems certain.

Sometimes words simply fail. Put to music, however, they soar! May these beautiful lyrics and tones support us as we begin this new journey.

THE PRAYER
Charlotte Church and Josh Groban

I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your Grace
To a place where we'll be safe
La luce che tu dai
I pray we'll find your light
Nel cuore restera
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarci che
When stars go out each night
L'eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede c'e
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe.
Sogniamo un mondo
senza piu violenza
Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace e di fraternita
La forza che ci dai
We ask that life be kind
E'il desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amore
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a se
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child
Needs to find a place,
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salvera

I sometimes play this song over and over again. God's blessing as you go Diane. I know that He has gone before you making straight the path that your son will follow. I am holding you all in my prayers.

My prayer for you, as well, as you all step into this new future together. Your son is a lucky boy to have parents such as you. The miracle in progress continues...

Translated is:

A world where pain and sorrow will be ended.
And every heart that's broken will be mended.
And we'll remember we are all God's children
Reaching out to touch Him, reaching to the sky.

Just thought you would like to know what those words are. Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli did this song too - and these words are incorporated into that version.

Your letters are heart wrenching and you are still, as ever in my prayers.

Lots of love
Brigitte

This is one of my favorite songs. I just love it. You tube has a video of ice skaters skating to the song as well that I love.

I also have some prodigals...three. I pray constantly for them and have started a little box. When I pray I then drop their name on a piece of paper in the box. The box is God's box... I give them to God.

Hugs!
