Guess where I'm going?

Kristen and Dawn are planning a Bloggy Girls Mountain Getaway! And I'm going!

Remember the brilliant post that I lost? Well in that post I explained that while I am not good at keeping New Year Resolutions, I am making a few, firm goals for 2007. At the top of my list was my comittment to getting together with these dear blogger/buddies. My joy cannot be contained today as these plans are coming to fruition.

I met Kristen early in my blogging adventure. After visiting one another's blogs for a short time and exchanging a few personal emails, Kristen announced, "I can't wait for you and my mom to talk! You have so many things in common!" Mover and shaker that she is, Kristen encouraged her mom to at least visit this blog, maybe leave a comment, and minimally, start an email exchange.

Well! Dawn has done more than that; she has started her own, inspirational blog--one that I visit daily. We have exchanged comments, emails, and phone numbers! During the last six months, I feel like I have been richly blessed with an adopted family of the heart in Colorado! After two failed (interupted) attempts to fly out to Denver to meet with them--I now am going to the Bloggy Girls Mountain Getaway, hosted by these two movers and shakers (if you've read their mother/daughter series or visited Angie, their DIL/SIL....you know exactly what I mean!)

So let's get a-movin' and a-shakin! Join us in the planning, won't you? Once I hear more of the details, I will post them on this blog; of course you can get them firsthand at Kristen's. The details will be unfolding soon--don't miss this great opportunity to get-to-gether! This year, let's meet face-to-face instead of sitting at home and reading about the great Blogging reunions (remember this one, and this one, or this one?) Let's make this the best--first-ever Bloggy Girls Mountain Getaway!

I've talked to Dawn about this, too, and she knows why I can't do it this year. Having an injured husband who's going to be down for five months makes anything beyond the absolute necessities impossible. It's something to be right here in Colorado, albeit all the way on the other side of the state, and not be able to go. But between Rob being home until the beginning of the summer and Mandy's wedding in June, boy, I can't even contemplate it.

I cannot WAIT to hear all about it though. I agree with Kristen that you and Dawn have a lot in common and will undoubtedly become fast friends.

Well---WOO-HOO! Wouldn't this be fun!

At this time, Kristen has asked people to leave comments as to location and cost--I don't know how far Durango is from Denver area.....Dawn and Kristen are in the Denver area. Head on over to Kristen's....leave your preferences...she is keeping track of these things before a final decision is made.

Keep "mulling!"

Howdy! Thanks so much for your comment on my blog!

Colorado is one of my favorite places on Earth, and I visit several times a year. I know that y'all will have the BEST time!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to nose through you archives -- looks like some good stuff in here!

Hey, thanks for helping us out!! Talk about movers and shakers!! It doesn't look like too many are thinking they can do it at this time, but even 2, 3, 4 would be awesome. Durango is a long ways from us - we're a bit north of Denver. Fall is great, summer is great. Spring is totally unpredictable.

I hope to see you there in Minnesota this summer, too, when I come to see my missionary cousin. Good things ahead!!

This sounds like a lot of fun! I didn't realize you all lived around Denver- that's about 6 hours from the Black Hills.

Hugs!

I may be interested if it is not too close to the time of my daughters wedding. I love Dawn's blog and all of you bloggers have been so nice to me. What a blessing to be able to meet everyone in person. Keep me informed.
