The Valley of Fire

What a week I've had! My daughter, son-in-law, 14 year old son and I just returned from a beautiful wedding in Nevada's Valley of Fire State Park. Yes, a destination wedding, in Nevada, in May! We survived! Actually, the weather was perfect, the bride and groom were beautiful and the flower girl...well...she was just adorable!

The groom is my son-in-laws brother and we were thrilled to be there as he and his bride exchanged vows amidst the red rocks of Nevada's oldest and largest State Park. The valley derives its name from the red sandstone formations and the stark beauty of the Mojave Desert. It was a stunning setting for a wedding; we were mesmerized by the beauty of this valley and overjoyed as the bride and groom began their lives together in such a remarkable place.

Surrounded by the flaming colors of this valley, I remembered vividly another wedding day; it was just 10 months ago that my daughter and son-in-law were married. What a beautiful day it was.

May God Bless both of these young couples with much love, happiness, joy, and peace; whether they are visiting The Valley of Fire or walking through it one day. May He guide them out of any desert experience into His springs of living water. May He hold them tightly; may they feel His presence every moment of their lives.

And now, returning from The Valley of Fire, I go to my.....Laundry Room! I missed you all while I was gone and will visit you as soon as I get a few loads of laundry done, sort through a weeks worth of mail, and reacquaint myself with the mundane of life! Ah--marital bliss!

I wondered where you had been. I'm glad to know you made it back safely and can sympathize with the laundry, email and other things that have piled up. The pictures are beautiful and can only imagine how beautiful the wedding must have been. Welcome home!!

Wow, how beautiful...we just made a family trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon two weeks ago - it reminds me of our trip.

The flower girl is absolutely gorgeous and so was the bride!

Sounds like it was a lovely weding and you must have had a great time.

If you're anything like me though, you're glad to be home. Not glad to have the experience end or to have to do all the laundry, but glad to be home none-the-less.

Thank You for stopping by my site and leaving your comment. Please pray for me and my wife since you do know how to pray for us. I will be praying for your prodigal God See's and he knows everything and he still is a God that answers prayer. God Bless, Bro Tim

I wish I had been there too. Sounds like a writer's paradise. I've only been out west once. My sister used to live in Colorado. The TV doesn't do the scenery justice.
