First Days

The quiet of this morning is nearly deafening! Today is the first day of school for our youngest son. He is a sophomore!

My boys! Isn't it amazing that no matter how grown up they get, no matter how many inches taller than Mom they become, no matter how deep their voices are....they remain our babies forever! Yes, their physical presence has outgrown a mother's lap, but her love can not be diminished by size or circumstance! They will never outgrow the love of their Mom!

So let the silence roar! It is filled with memories of days gone by and hope for the future. Hope for a really amazing school year, hope for continued growth and maturity. Hope for happiness, continued peace, and family togetherness. May their first steps out the door each day be as blessed as their first baby steps! May we be faithful; may they always know, each step that they take is covered in prayer!

So very, very true! I hope Sam's high school years are the best ever. He looks like a really neat kid!

And Curt - what can I say except God Bless Curt!

That was lovely Diane. I pray this year will be filled with the peace and presence of the Lord in your home.

There's nothing like a new beginning...whether it be a new school year, or a new chapter in life. May they both, indeed, mature.
And they will.

Remember that button people used to wear? PBPGINFWMY

Please be patient, God is not finished with me yet!!

We all need that button!

I think you said it perfect, one of my babies entered her senior year and the other entered his 5th grade year and both were excited and yet somehow I was simply in prayer.

It still amazes me that my little 2nd grader was once a tiny little bundle I burped on my shoulder. It's going by too fast!!! I feel a new beginning coming on for your family. Smiles.
