Tackle It Tuesday: Finding the lost contents!

Received without contents?

How is it possible that you can send a package from Minneapolis to a friend in Denver...and the Post Office actually believes that a stamp reading "Received without contents" is really delivering the package????

I carefully wrapped the contents and taped all edges and enthusiastically sent it to my friend. Yesterday, she received the torn apart wrap....without it's content! It THAT really delivering? Did I pay the postage due to send to her the postal wrap? I think not!

Let the search begin. I wonder if it is reasonable to believe that we will ever find the contents? Three books--personally signed by the book's author, directly to my friend and her children? Priceless!

"Come rain or shine, sleet or snow...we will deliver"..........your postage wrap!?!?

So, I'm a little miffed as I am on my way to my local Post Office to tackle this double speak! With pictures in hand, I will ask them to help me find the contents....yes, the contents that were meant to be delivered WITH the wrap!

That's horrible. I've never heard of that before. How can they deliver a wrap? I don't blame you for being upset. I pray you get to the bottom of it - you're right priceless was the contents.

I love it! What a great Tackle it Tuesday. I hope they can be recovered, and if not, they at least reimburse you - although priceless is a bit steep, for sure!

How frustrating.

My daughter mailed a bunch of stuff to a friend in Iraq.

Yep. Same deal.

She spent a ton of money picking out things he'd asked for and he ended up getting two or three things and a damaged mailer.

Good luck, but I have my doubts that you'll ever see those books again. Either somebody deliberately stole your books or a machine damaged the contents and they were kept or thrown away.

Hope I'm not being too pessimistic and you get the books back.

Love and hugs,

Diane

I am so sorry Diane. That really is inexcusable. I'll send up a little prayer that the contents will be found.

How horrible - though frankly i am just fed up with the PO too - it seems this kind of thing keeps happening - either that or not showing up AT ALL!

I just recently mailed a package NEXT DAY - it arrived 3 days AFTER it was supposed to!

UGH!

It just happened to me. I received an empty box that was SUPPOSED to be filled with $400 worth of school curriculum. Most of it has been recovered, but the missing books will cost me $150 to replace unless God steps in and does a miracle/
