Thankful Thursday

Where does the time go? Wasn't it just yesterday that we were all posting our Thankful Thursday's? :)

The longer I live, the more I realize that time really does fly by! However, there are moments like this that time really does stand still. Please continue to pray for Heather.

With this in mind, today, I am thankful for:

Heather! I don't remember exactly how I found Heather's blog, but I know that each of her posts drew me back for daily visits. And with the creation of Faith Lifts, I was invited into the very real faith that is deep in every fiber of Heather's being. I am thankful to know the same God that Heather regularly pronounces to be good! Yes, Heather, "God is good all the time!"

I am thankful for my prayer closet. After spending most of yesterday in it, as I walked passed it early this morning, I could actually feel a tug, a pull if you will, to enter, once again in. Although our hearts were saddened yesterday by Heather's diagnosis, our spirits soared as we stormed heaven's gate with the "incense of saintly prayers." As I passed my prayer closet this morning, I realized that I longed for the fellowship I felt yesterday, knowing that hundreds, maybe thousands of bloggers were simultaneously praying for our dear blogging friend. Neither distance nor time can seperate the family of God my friends!

I am thankful for a sunny day. Yes, we have a freshly fallen snow (when will it ever end?), but the brilliance of the sun makes it almost bareable! My spirit soars as I remember God's promise: "Thy light shall break forth as the morning, and thy health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go forth before thee: the glory of the Lord shall be thy rear guard." (Isaiah 58:8)

I am thankful for the beauty of God's world.

Whether a beautiful, snow touched cliff in Gordon, Texasor most especially, in the face of a newborn baby, we can see the presence of God, if we only look! Yes, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James 1:17)

I am thankful for God's Word. Take time today to fill your heart with his living and active Word! "...I am alert and active watching over My Word to perform it!" (Jeremiah 1:12). He is seeking, He is waiting to bless you!

I wonder if she realizes the impact she has had on so many. I found myself thinking of her often yesterday.. No I am stalker.I have just been burden by her story.

Oh, I'm sorry, may I add something please to my post above. I added a late prayer request to the bottom of my Thankful Thursday post.. I believe after you had already stopped by. If you can, I would appreciate your remembering my niece's baby in your prayers. She is newborn 2 days old, not breathing well, being tube fed, and in NIC unit. Thank you for being a prayer warrior.

What a beautiful thankful post. Yes, the power of prayer is amazing and the results even more so. I am thrilled that you shared your thankfulness with us this past week.

I guess I love photography so much because of all the beauty God created around, snow or no snow.

Blessings on your Sunday evening and always...
