THANKFUL THURSDAY
I am thankful today for Heather. What joy she has always brought to our blogging community; what an inspiration she remains even in the face of a medical crisis.

I am thankful for BooMama and her unfailing faithfulness to provide a venue for many to bless those who need us! As BooMama says, "Internets"......you're the best!
I am always thankful to have found 5 Minutes for Mom. These two women continually bring us the best....that is to be found in our blogging community! Today, they are bringing a little contest fun! Head on over and sign up to win a 9" Philips Digital Photo Frame! WOO-HOO!
I am thankful for the phone calls exchanged this week, with my, yet unmet, but God-given freind Dawn. Despite any distance of geography or face-to-face-connections, this friendship is personally real and very much appreciated!
I am thankful for all of the support I felt as each of you left comments this week. You have put wings on the Word of God as I have felt comforted and strengthened! And I am in AWE of how God takes our pain and uses it for His purpose!!!! Yes, Michele, His love for us is simply amazing!
I am thankful for the Spring Day we are having! In fact, I may even break out the Spring Cleaning Bucket; this "I-find-very-little fulfillment-whilst-cleaning-Mama" is feeling inspired! I may just start with my spray bottle of windex and a roll of paper towels and tackle the glass on my front door. I'm tired of looking at the paw-prints that my two little rug-rats leave every time they go out and come in! OOPS! In keeping with the theme of TT, I'm thankful for every little pawprint and nose-smudge!
I am so thankful to know Jesus. In the midst of current events, my heart aches for the Virginia Tech families who have suffered such a deep, cutting loss. Not surprisingly, if you read my blog at all, my heart aches, most especially, for the family of the shooter. I have only heard said that they were a "quiet, hardworking family who went to church." I am praying that they will be "guarded" with "the peace that transcends all understanding;" a peace only found in God through Jesus Christ. In the midst of this unimaginable tragedy, may God bless all of the families, students and staff with His unexplainable love!

I am thankful that within this week of so much pain and loss, we have learned once again the truth of God's Word:

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21

Heather is our shining example of what an overcomer really looks like! Even BooMama's "internets" have shown once again, what overcoming looks like~! We have great examples blogging friends! Maybe we should dedicate a few posts to the "overcomers" we each know personally....to strengthen our resolve as we face many painful issues in each of our lives. I am thankful we never have to face this pain alone--He is always with us!

I'm thankful for each of these, too. Even the wet-nose and paw prints all over my patio door. How sad and quiet my house would be if little Chelsea wasn't running around making messes for me.

Wonderful list and my thoughts and prayers are still with you and your family.

What a beautiful and thoughtful post. Thanks for sharing this. I, too, am thankful for the fingerprints on the glass (although I was wishing the other day that it would take longer than two minutes for them to return after I clean them). :) Have a wonderful Thursday!

These Thankful Thursday posts just make my heart sing. I know you have had such a difficult week, but you have still found much to be thankful for. I've been praying for you Diane. You bless me.
My husband is my overcomer, as he deals with one health problem after another never losing his faith or his love for the Lord.

I'm thankful for all my new blogging buddies. I'm also thankful to be blessed with a sense of humor and the ability to make the occasional odd person laugh.

I'm thankful to know that there is nothing new under the sun and what ever "ugly" we (or our loved ones) go through is no surprise at all to our Father.

I just wanted you to know how blessed I am by the post you left on "Notes from the Trenches." That God of Heather's shone through your words.

How awesome that it is a living, breathing word that still changes lives through the like of us all.

May you be blessed abundantly today!

I love this list. I love that we got to talk this week. Can't wait to meet face to face.

We have so much to be thankful for, in the midst of so much tragedy and sadness - as Sema wrote today, "It Is Well With My Soul."

I too have been thinking so much of the young man's parents - what sadness for hard working paremts who came to America for better opportunities, most likely. So sad!!

Thank you for sharing. God is good all the time and sometimes we get to be a part of it. Heather--we thank God for her life and her testimony.

Thanks for your encouraging comment on my post.

I, too, think of the shooter's family.

Painful experiences have a way of carving a compassion into us for lost kids, and hurting parents.
