Love that picture. Lynn looks a bit more guilty to me. Can't wait to hear the answer.

Kev was in Mozambique on a missions trip - when he was still in prodigal status, they took him if he was willing to go to church once a week leading up to it. It was a changing experience for him, and he went back again four months later with another church group. That is what led to his going to Kenya to school and meeting Sema. I am hoping all of this comes out in his future chapters, which I HOPE start again soon!

Lots of blog fodder there - I guess I"ll have to write some about it. Fascinating times.

Hey, I know you just caught up on Kristen's posts, but you HAVE to go back and read the one she just put up. OH, my word!

Too funny! See, my brother was the instigator, then he'd tattle if I retaliated. He was a sneaky little thing!! LOL!
By the way you have one of my FAVORITE songs playing on here now! Love it love it!

Hello Bloggers!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Dixie Sanborn, sister to your blogger friend Diane Viere (I love her to death).

I have to tell you just how much fun we did have on this Marco Island Girls Weekend - but let me start out by saying, "it's not easy being the one to keep criminal activities out of a girls weekend." : )

Diane may be the oldest of 5 siblings, but being number 4 of 5, and having been raised by Diane and her husband Gordy, much of her was instilled in me (thank God).

I would have to say that the "Diane" in me comes out when I know we may be walking the "grey line". The Diane in me shows when I say things like "we could go to jail for this" or "think about what could happen if we go up the entire 1750 feet up in the air tied by a rope to the back end of a running boat (with a running motor) - in an ocean full of sharks, fish, seaweed, and turtles?" Oh my gosh, my heart still skips a beat when I think about it. I guess someone has to think about the consequences of our actions - right? Or is it that I just talk myself out of having fun?

Well, as it turns out we didn't go to jail and I didn't talk myself (or anyone else) out of having fun.

We had a dream vacation that couldn't have turned out better even if we had planned it. We experienced one of those times when you don't expect too much, yet end up having the time of your life. This will be a life long memory that brings a smile to my face every time I think of the talks we shared till 2am, eating, the "laughing till your face hurts" laughs, eating, story telling, eating, shell picking, eating, "Shark Bites", and the heart felt tears we shared.

I'm not a writer, nor a blogger - in fact this is my first time ever to write on a blog site. Amazing how technology works - I still don't understand how a TV or telephone work - transmitting all that data?!?! WOW. Must be similar to "Willie Wanka and the Chocolate Factory" when the boy shrinks and all those little pieces of him are floating in the air before he becomes whole again. That's how voice and pictures travel from one place to the next in my mind.

Okay - so hear's the big ending...

I love you Diane for all that you are and all that you have instilled in me. You are a blessing to me and as I've always told you...

"You are the wind beneath my wings"

Your little sister - Dixie xoxo
