WOO-HOO! Let the Party continue!

Reasons to Celebrate

What a party Susan and Janice throw! Ladies, I could never have imagined that you would host more than 650 guests! What a feat! Thank you so much for your planning, your organizing, your efforts in bringing us all together!

In case THAT isn't reason enough to celebrate, I thought I would list just a few things that I am celebrating today. Today is a RED letter day at Partners In Prayer for Our Prodigals!

*** Faith Lifts has recently kicked off a new blog design with fabulous categories for every blogger! Yours truly is hosting the Parenting category where you will find posts by guest bloggers on all topics Parenting! Our first guest contributor (thank you Mary!) is the amazing Mary, Mom to Many from Owlhaven! Please visit regularly.....and leave comments! There will be a great group of guest contributors (thanks to all of my blogging friends who said, "Yes!") We all look forward to seeing you there!

*** Please visit Grandma Dawn's party post: The Prodigal Son Returns. You can almost feel the dancing in heaven....as you celebrate with Dawn! What a homecoming...what a reason to celebrate!

*** And now, drum roll please, the reason we are floating around Partners In Prayer today..........our son is at his first day of work! Friends, if I were to list the ways his attitude has changed, his body language has improved, and his hope has increased, you wouldn't have time to visit any other parties! I hope you feel my gratitude as I share: we're seeing a miracle in progress! We are witnessing, first hand, God's handiwork, His answer to our prayers!

In the decade that we have been standing in the gap for our son, we have experienced many highs and lows. Yes, I'm aware that we must approach this cautiously, however, I will never be cautious about praising God! If there is anything that I have learned through this struggle, it is this: God is in, both, the highs and the lows. He never leaves us alone, He never fails! Just one more reason to CELEBRATE today!

Please join me in the celebration that's goin' on in our little corner of the blogosphere~! What are some reasons you are celebrating this day?

Hi. In response to your comment (thanks for stopping by again)...at least Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 lakes, so there are a lot of water skiing opportunities that way! When I was little, we visited Lake Laida (sp?) several times. My dad is from Nor.Dak.
I guess as a kid I probably didn't notice that the water was cold.

I'll celebrate with you because my little sister felt her baby move for the first time today! I am very excited about becoming an Aunt and am enjoying going through this process with my sister and her boyfriend. He is wonderfully attentive to her and so caring, so we are pleased that, even if things are not in an ideal situation, they are as good as they can be!

I'm so happy for all of you. You have so much wisdom. God is there no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in.
I'm blessed today because my husband (who is a very severe type 1 diabetic) had a great checkup today. All of his numbers are looking very good. Thank You Lord!!

Hello, thanks for stopping by my blog! So glad that God is watchin over your son, we have one that I am still praying for. He has such a strong spiritual side but resists; he will be incarcerated for the next 2 years but maybe while he is there he will get right with God and come out the better for it. Please keep him in your prayers.

I have a prodigal son too. I'm thankful that, while he's irresponsible, he's NOT doing drugs or breaking the law. That's a big deal and I'm very grateful!

Hurray for your son. Any step in the right direction is a good step!

Thanks for stopping by for a snack at my party. I have alot of leftovers, though. Do you need any hard-cooked eggs in aspic? (me neither!)

thank you sooooo much for commenting on my blog. That means so much to know that someone actually cared enough to read what I had to say. And, yes, this is probably one of the most fun parties I have ever been to. I am just able to lie in bed, with my robe and pjs, and just have fun browsing around other people's blogs.

Party on!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and joining my party! ;)

Why I'm celebrating today:

I suppose we should celebrate the fact that we have another day to live, right?

I have a beautiful & wonderful daughter.

My marriage is going on 4 years and still hanging in there.

I have a secure job.

Our house will soon be completed!

I'm celebrating because, despite many bumps in the journey home, we're still a family of five, working it out with Jesus, and I've enjoyed my daughter's company more these last 4 days than I have in years. Please keep praying for us, but rejoice with us as well.
