We're havin' a party!

5 Minutes for Mom is hosting a Blog Party! WOO-HOO! What fun! So glad you stopped by while you've been party-hopping~!

My name is Diane. I began blogging February of 2006 with the encouragement and support of my first-blogging-but-forever-friend, Cindy. One of the great benefits of this addiction, I mean, experience......is the community that has developed--in spite of the distance of cyberspace. Although, the distance will not be a problem when I join the Bloggy Girls Moutain Getaway this Fall, hosted by Kristen and Grandma Dawn! Do I hear a "EEE-HAW!"

When I am not blogging (I guess it could be said...even when I am blogging!), I am a wife (34 years), mother of 3 fabulous children (26, 24, and 15) and one foster-daughter (30), non-traditional college student (working on my Masters in Psychology), daughter, sister, Aunt, and Foster-Grandma to three beautiful grandchildren. And, I must add....I am so happy to greet you! Welcome to Partners In Prayer for Our Prodigals!

Should you want to find out, "Why Prodigals?", please click here. It has been a sharing of my journey through loving an adult child through a bumpy road called, "his life!" Or as my blogging friend, Morning Glory, has recoined, "his miracle in progress!"

Like you, I love talking about my children! Our daughter was married to a fabulous young man August 13, 2006! She works as an RN in the NeoNatalCriticalCareUnit at a Children's Hospital, he is an Accountant, studying for the dreaded CPA Exam!

Our 24 year old son just recently returned to Minneapolis, after a stay in Orlando, Florida, and has been hired (WOO-HOO!!!!!) as a Data Entry Coordinator; he begins this answer to pray on Monday

And then.....there is our 9th grade basketball player! It's been said that the "third one's the charm," well, I can affirm! Coming to us 10 years after our 2nd child, we have been richly blessed! Aren't we all! Children are such a gift directly from God!

Now that you have arrived at the door, please come in and make yourself at home. It is my pleasure to say "Welcome!" Please stay; and should you be off to do a little more party-hopping, please come back.....anytime!

I am so worried about the whole Blog Party thing. We just got internet reconnected at home, and well, I'm almost afraid to admit the kids may have to fend for themselves this weekend.

I have to put up reminders on my computer...feed the kids, are they still alive? LOL

Glad to meet you, come back any time

Hello there. Thanks for stopping by my little space of the wide open web. Although I think I'm the only one that's not a mom. I found out about it from a friend of mine and thought it would be fun to meet new people.

We've got the same balloons! We must've shopped at the same party store. ;-)

Great to hear about your son's new job! Awesome!

Thanks for inviting us to your party! Too many parties; too little time! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! How exciting that your daughter is a NICU nurse! Our family thinks that they are the closest thing to angels on this earth! They are the only nurses who can change the bed with 1 hand and hold their patient in the other! Cant wait to look more at your blog!

I think you won this prize hands-down lol! That was very welcoming, and friendly as well. It is true what you said about blogging being like your second family. For those of us not able to get out into the real world too often, these things are nice enough to give us the chance to mingle and meet new friends. God Bless

Thanks for visiting my party! I am just stopping by to visit yours. What a wonderful blogging idea. My children are only 5 and 2, but I am already praying for their faithfulness. I do appreciate your example for those of us with younger children!

I'm so glad you stopped by to visit me. I have eight children, seven at home. My oldest (21 in June) is a wonderful son and will become a wonderful man, but he's going to learn every lesson the hard way on that path.

May you be blessed.

Thanks for visiting my party Diane! It is very nice to meet you. You sound just like my Mom when referring to your daughter and wanting a grandbaby. She asks me quite often when she is going to get a grandbaby. We are waiting a little longer, doing a few things, & going a few places before that happens! It was so fun to hear from you! Good luck on the grandbaby!

Hi Diane, thanks for stopping by. Your festivities are lovely, as is your family!

Hello from a former Minnesotan! :) Just popping in - this party thing is fun!! :)

I enjoyed reading your blog - it was nice to hear a Minnesota 'accent' :) - and read some encouraging words regarding your prayers for family members. Prayer is a powerful thing!! :)

Thanks for stopping by the House o' Glamour today and thanks for the invitation to stop by in my jammies! However, I showered and changed into comfy velour sweats to stop by your place! I've been poking around for a bit and I'll be back again. I'm interested in the online courses that you're taking. I love taking college classes, but it's a bit difficult with two little ones right now.

See ya again soon!

Excellent site and travel time. I think I've seen your name on EVERY blog I've visited today. Do you get around the bloggysphere or do we just have the same incredible taste?

Good to meetcha and hope you'll stop by my place sometime!

Nice to meet you Diane!
I saw that you linked up at my Mr. Linky. I always wanted to go to Minnesota - my high school boyfriend was from Duluth - but somehow I married me a Texan - and here I am in the south. It isn't so bad - it's SPRING here now! woo hoo!
Oh yeah - I noticed in your post - I thought I was the only one who used WOO HOO!
Nice to meet ya - party on!

Love the decor! Thanks for stopping by my place!

Quick testimony on prodigals! My prodigal sister (36yrs) may finally be coming home. She' recently moved five hours from my home, went to church with us, and her and her husband were asking questions about God! This is a major answer to prayer!

Oh dear me! My third is not a charm! He's my absolute most difficult! LOL Gotta love it.
We live in Minnesota, too! Our kids mostly weren't born here, so they are having the time of their lives! They have never seen this much snow. I love telling them that this isn't that much, we used to trick or treat in this! haha!
My dd 15 took a pic of her with an icicle bigger than she is!
Happy party week!

Hi Diane,

Thanks for dropping by my corner. It's really nice to meet you. I enjoyed reading about you. I'm not sad I live in AZ though - growing up in Idaho I really don't miss the snow, especially this time of year. But your having fun with your kiddos is always the bomb. Happy party hopping!
