Come Back

My "mother-of-my-heart" is insisting that we all return to our normal daily activities--she's kicked us out of the hospital! Actually, she has returned to a room in Telemetry and will begin Cardiac rehab today! Because this involves walking 3-4 times each day, as well as various other activities that will no doubt wear her out--her request is reasonable. She will need to rest--not entertain!

So I have come back to my normal activities......laundry, dusting, errands, but first--my blog! After checking my e-mails, I noticed a personal note from Janice at 5 Minutes for Mom. Along with a personal sentiment regarding my MIL, she wanted to let me know that she is reviewing an important book (on yesterday's post) and will be posting an interview today with the author(s). The book is entitled, "Come Back: A Mother and Daughter’s Journey Through Hell and Back." This book is setting on my nightstand; a book that I read this summer and found it so impactful that I could not hide it away in my bookshelf. From time to time, I pick it up and just touching the cover reminds me: A mother will go to the ends of the earth to rescue her child.

Please visit Janice's blog and read her review of this incredible account of mother and daughter. And don't forget to return for the interview with Claire and Mia. And then, go to your library, local bookstore or order through Amazon.com! This is a book every parent must have on their bookshelf (or their nightstand!) as a resource that will strengthen, encourage, and inspire.

So as I come back to the semi-normalcy of life; I gladly link to 5 Minutes for Mom, referring you to this life changing book. Also, I want to thank each person who has left a word of encouragement, e-mailed, and offered prayer support. You are the wind beneath our wings as we travel through this medical crisis!

So glad that you dear MIL is on the mend! Sounds like she is a fighter! :)

Thank you so much for mentioning the review and interview - I was so profoundly affected by Come Back that I just needed to spread the news!

This looks like an excellent book. I have seen it mentioned favorably elsewhere too.

Thanks for your thoughtful visit yesterday. Did you know I had linked to your site in my post?

May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.

I saw this book at 5 Minutes for Mom. This is on my book wish list. My daughters are grown, but someday they may have daughters.

I'm so glad your mother-in-law is doing well enough to kick you all out and ask you to get on with your lives. That's a good, good sign.

What a scary time this has been for all of you. Thank goodness it's going to have a good outcome.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my site. I was on a book deadline and my blog suffered, but I'm back on track.

I love your site. I will add it to my blog. : )

I am glad that your MIL is doing a little better, but it sounds like she is not all the way to her old self.

Thank you for the link to Janice's post. I will check out the interview tomorrow.

Well Praise Him, Praise Him that she is doing so well!

What joy it is to hear of victory by way of Christ!

Thank you for blessing us with your request. It allows us (me) to be obedient to Christ and lift another up to Him...to keep eyes, hearts and minds on Him...

Diane,
I'm glad your MIL seems to be improving. I haven't been by here in a while because every time I tried to come to your blog, my internet would just shut down. Not sure what the problem was, but I've been missing your blog!! Anyway, I'll continue to pray for your MIL and the rest of your family of course!

I'm so sorry I haven't gotten over here to tell you i'm sorry to hear about your mother in law. I haven't been around in awhile. My mom has been giving me updates, though. I'm so sorry you are going through this, and I hope she pulls through and regains full health!!

Thank you for your sweet and kind words and thoughts during the last couple of weeks with regards to my grandpa. I appreciated it.

I know how exhausting that can be. I shall keep you and your family in my prayers. I haven't been around much lately - but I will continue now to pray for you. God bless you, and fill you with His grace and strength.
