To blog or not to blog

Do you ever wish your blog could serve a higher purpose? 2,996 is hosting a very worthwhile effort: 2,996 is calling for volunteer bloggers who will join together and post tributes for the victims of 9/11/2001. What a great opportunity to pay tribute to the 2, 996 victims who lost their lives on this horrendous day. This is an opportunity to highlight, not the unthinkable atrocity, but the lives of those lost. If you ever needed a worthy cause to blog--this may just be it! Visit D.Challener Roe's blog; sign up today and receive a name of one who deserves this honor. If you've ever thought to yourself--"I wish I could do something to help," this is your chance! Help make 9/11 represent the names and lives of those who were killed--not the names and deeds of those who murdered.

On 9/11, I will honor Sgt. Michael Curtin, age 45
Place killed: World Trade Center
Resident of Medford, N.Y.
I was the 1621st blogger to sign up for the 2,996 Tribute

There are 1,375 names unassigned: Will you be the 1622nd blogger to volunteer? Let's reduce the remaining unassigned names to zero! All deserve this day of honor.

I went over to sign up but there was a comments closed note. The e-mail link wasn't working either.

Hope all is well with you and your family. Thanks for sharing your blog--you have so many thought provoking posts.

I tried to sign up, too, but comments are closed. I'll try again later, though. :-)

Magnolia and Diane--

When you go back to the site--look to the far, upper right hand corner.....there is a SIGN UP NOW button. Click on that--does that work?

I'm so happy you're all doing this too!
