It seems this week is a smattering of blog networking! Tuesday's Treasure, Wordless Wednesday and now something called Thursday's Thirteen. To save time, as I really must finish packing to fly to meet up with my traveling son; I want to dedicate this day to my new blogging family.
THANK YOU! Your comments, your encouragement, your support and your prayers have sustained me throughout these days of transition. It brings joy to the very core of my heart when I read your comments and when I remember throughout the day you are holding my son up in prayer.
A big shout-out goes to my first ever blogging sista' and writing buddy, Beneath the Ivy Wreath. It is truly a wonderful story how I met her and I hope to share it more eloquently one day. She is a shining example of how God actively brings others into your life....to bless you! Through my first blogging buddy, I met Lisa at Lisa's writing projects and thoughts on life. Lisa runs a monthly competition that peaked my interest. To enter, I had to start a blog. It was at that time I graduated from lurker-->poster-->to blogger! Thank you Lisa and CHG!
My heart is beating a little faster as I recall the ensuing days of my blogging experience. I quickly discovered the Mommy-blogs: and made a new friend at Amazing Grace-Land and Mommy Life. Both are published authors and you will never be disappointed when visiting their blogs. Loved--loved--loved the Laundry room contest at Mommy Life.
For my daily dose of humor and delight--I am drawn to Holy Mama's blog and Rocks in my Drier. And forgive me GiBee at Kisses of Sunshine, but my laugh muscles are still sore from your posting on April 5th! It truly deserves an honorable mention! Yes, there are so many more friends whose posts cause me to laugh out loud alone in my computer room, so don't be afraid of a little blog browsing--it's certainly good for your mental health.
Speaking of mental health, Windows to my Soul, will bless and enlighten you. I count on her to redirect my stinkin' thinkin' moments! And the Christian women blogs I have visited! Some day, I will make the time to link each one individually on my side-bar. I am, however, hesitant to do that while remaining in the "computer challenged" category. I don't want all of blogspot to collapse!
And to my faithful prayer partners, BerryMom2005 at The Sojourner's Journey and Morning Glory at Seeds from my Garden--THANK YOU. Thank you to all of my prayer partners--you have propelled me with prayer power for the wait...as I stand in the gap, with others, for our prodigals.
Before I close (yes, I DO plan to get on that airplane), I want to say a special thank you to the many people who have shared their stories in the comment section. Whether you have a prodigal in your life or you were once a prodigal and have returned home, thank you for sharing so honestly and willingly. Whether you know and love my son personally, or just have a compassionate heart; you have strengthened my faith, you have energized my hope, and you have given me so much to be thankful for this Thursday.
P.S. Update on my Orlando-bound son: He arrived safely last night in Atlanta and will join me this afternoon in Orlando. Sing with me: I'm leavin' on a jet-plane........ [I know] when I'll be back a'gain......Talk with you then! :)

I hope you have a safe and happy trip to see your son.
Wow, girl, you get around! Thanks for the plug and for being my buddy. I'm glad that the Lord is working so mightily in your life.
Have a wonderful, blessed time with your son. And have a safe flight!
Thank you for stopping by my blog and offering such wonderful encouragement. I really appreciate it. I'll be back - I want to hear about your trip.
Thanks for sharing the blog links. I'll have to check them out. I pray all went well with the trip. Can't wait to hear..er..read about it. : - )
Ah, such a beautiful post! And I'm honored to be among those you choose to visit in the blogosphere. {{Hugs}}} We have such sweet community here, and I'm so thankful for you. If you ever need help with adding links to your sidebar, give me a holler. Although I'll probably be hollering myself til I get my new place up and rolling...lol....
Blessings to you, my friend. Just wanted to pop in and thank you for your encouragements.
Hugs,
Vicki
I am looking forward to catching up on all those interesting looking links you've posted. And thanks for sharing the story of your son's journey to a different part of the country. What a wrench that must be.
BTW, I must apologise for deleting a comment you left on my blog recently. I thought it was a comment spam, trying to sell a book, but later I thought about the wording (Looking for my Australian translation book!)and how it related to my post, and realised you were for real. So sorry! If you're still interested, but I don't imagine you would be, I'll email you a "translation". vforbes at netspace dot net dot au
just when i think i'm too tired to blog about something, i remember what a blessing those first months and year of blogging were to me too ... folks from half way around the world, uplifting my heart, just when i needed it ... just the way our Heavenly Father planned it!
blessings to you as you walk in the Florida sunshine!
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your blog is such an inspiration to me. My children are still too young for anyone to have become a "prodigal", but I know with four them, odds are I will have to deal with this at some point. You are such a precious example of God's grace--thank you.
Please let us know how things go with your son! Prayers to you!!
Thank you so much for your honesty and your care in your comment on my blog. God bless you.
