A reminder--we are not alone in this pursuit.
Footprints In the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord,
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

Good Morning! Thanks for visiting Partners in Prayer for our prodigals...and thank you for posting your experience. Your words have encouraged me...and given me strength. I love when people share...even the painful times of live...and encourage others who are struggling. That is using what the enemy meant for loss.....for GAIN! Go God!

I also appreciate your prayers for our family. God is so faithful! It is my prayer that other mom's, dad's, families....will receive encouragement and strength today...whether by finding this blog...or by having a "stranger" pray for them! God Bless you! and keep stopping by!

Hi Diane,
Awesome start to your blog! I'm looking forward to watching it blossom in love!

I have two brothers who are alcoholics and my family has been through quite a bit over the past five years. My Dad's entire side of the family (just about) has struggled with some form of addiction. Addiction seems to be everywhere! I could go and on.

I'll refer my mom here so she can add her two cents...

Take care!
