THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE FREE!

Guess what my MIP is doing today?

He is delivering SANITY Day Seminar flyers to 50 Churches in the west metro area of Minneapolis!

Did you hear me?

HE is spreading the SANITY message!

Yup! That's my son! The same son who we have prayed for--for nearly a decade. The same son who has lived the SANITY principles vicariously through us. The same son who I have been standing in the gap for--for so long--VOLUNTEERED to help spread the news about our upcoming SANITY Day Seminar on May 2, 2009.

So this afternoon, he and his tattoos are walking into 50 Church offices....the same young man who resisted anything to do with Church for so long. The same young man who was so angered by our SANITY principles....is now hand delivering the SANITY message!

Isn't God amazing!

When we surrender our pain to Him...He is faithful to complete the work he has purposed for each of us!

If we only take our hands off our (prodigal) adult children, God will hold them in the palm of His hands and guide them to His freedom!

THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE FREE!

The joy I feel can hardly be contained. After years of trying to micro-manage change in his life, I finally surrendered my control; and in no time at all, God began to do a good work in my son's life. We have been watching him grow and learn. We have been reaping the benefits of a healed relationship. We have been sitting in the lap of God each day as we have seen our son begin to BE the man that God intends him to be.

And now, this afternoon, it is clear: God has bumped up the learning curve just a bit. Not only is He bringing our MIP to independence--He is bringing our son....home to Him! Our MIP's heart has opened and while he may not know it yet--he IS touching the hem of His garment!

This is how it feels to be free
This is what it means to know that
I am forgiven
This is how it feels to be free
To see that life can be more than i imagined

This is how it feels to be free
This is how it feels to be free

It's been an amazing journey! The joy we have felt as we have watched him successfully make baby-steps of progress fill our hearts to overflowing. Imagine the joy we will feel when the day comes for that Comin' Home Banquet--the day our MIP will finally know what it feels to be free!

It has been an amazing journey. And we've been on somewhat of a roller coaster ride, haven't we??

How many cities have groups going now?

Diane, I'm in tears. You told me this yesterday but it really registered today. Isn't it amazing to watch the miracle unfold before us?

By the way, I have a solid connection to Phillips, Craig & Dean. Let's talk about having them for the SANITY Seminar in Texas! At least Dan Dean.

Your son and Allison's son are and will continue to be HUGE testimonies for SANITY. God has big plans for both of these men of God.

I'm so thrilled for you! Blessings in all you do! Keep walking through those open doors!

Each and every time I hear of a son who has come back from the brink, it brings me hope! Praise the Lord for this good news, and thanks for sharing it with those of us who are still standing!
