TACKLE IT TUESDAY

Here's winkin' at ya!

For a few years now, my left eyelid has been droopy. I have Horner's Syndrome, a clinical syndrome caused by damage to the sympathetic nervous system. My neurologist advises this most probably occurred because of chronic migraines. Or, it could simply be that my eyelids are aging! Imagine that! Whatever the cause, it is called acquired ptosis--or as I like to call it, "Here's-winkin'-at-ya-itis!"

It wasn't a huge problem, until, that is, my left eyelid began drooping. Not painful, not life threatening--I know...but when it began to affect my vision ....it was time for a visit to Minnesota Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Specialists.

This morning, I will undergo blepharoplasty to tighten the tendon in my eyelids. Both eyelids will be surgically corrected so I don't look like a cyclops!

So while the rest of my Tackle It Tuesday friends are busy decorating their homes, cleaning their closets, and crafting some fabulous gift--I will be tackling some "I don't care" anesthesia!

I wonder if I can bring some home? Might come in handy, don't ya think?!?!

Happy TT!
