Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
Welcome back! Isn't this fun! Yesterday, I was party-hopping in spite of the weather in Minnesota! It was perfect; the fireplace was blazing, music softly playing as the snow kept falling and falling and falling! It seems while some bloggers are throwing beach parties, tea parties, and backyard BBQ's....we're having a blizzard! Don't you just love a party with variety!
My 9th grade son slept soundly and blissfully until mid morning, whereby, he began to announce every ten minutes or so how desperately b-o-r-e-d he was! In my haste and desire to not leave the par-tay, I suggested a few ideas:
"How about some basketball?" "No?"
"How about the trampoline?" "Probabaly not?"
"O.K. then, how about the fort??""Come on Son, where's your adventurous spirit!!!????"
"K--then we'll grill some hotdogs for lunch!"
"MOM! There's a blizzard outside!"
Well then! So much for offering a few distractions so this mid-western Momma could par-tay-uninteruptay!
So grab a cup of hot chocolate, don't forget the marshmallows! I will be back soon, just have to go outside with my 15 year old and show him how to have some-serious-sledding-fun in the snow! Make yourself at home by the fireplace; while the weather outside is frightful.......this blogging party is delightful....... Because you are here! When I return, let's begin with this starter: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN THE SNOW?

If it's a wet snow (Icey) we break the ice in chunks off the trampoline and use them as sleds...and Awwwwaaaaaay we go!! (Actually there is a video of it right here: http://mikeandsheri4.blogspot.com/2007/01/ice-blocking.html)
My favorite thing to do in the snow when I was a kid was to either make a snowman or play Cut the Pie in the backyard.
As an adult, my favorite thing to do is to bundle all up and go for a walk in the evening light. We don't get much snow here anymore.
Swinging in for the Ultimate Blog Party...Nice to meet ya.
Have a great party week
PARTY ON!!!!

Now, that's more like the Minnesota I know!! My favorite thing to do in the snow is to stay inside and look at it! I never was a very good Minnesotan, and this year Colorado has been a lot like the old days up there. I'm ready for a Spring Break Party!
Howdy! Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
These pictures remind me of Colorado...what lovely snow! (As long as one doesn't have to snowblow it, etc. of course) 'Tis perfect for lots of snowball fights... >;-D
Happy to have found another Minnesotan here! I think the rest of us are still trying to clear their sidewalks! You have to love a late winter snowstorm!
Love the pictures! Thanks for sharing the beauty in the blizard! Stopping by from 5 minutes and blog surfing. What a beautiful family! Kathy

My favorite thing to do in the snow? Stay inside by the fire! ;-)

Hi nice to meet you
I live in New Zealand and where I live we dont get snow
Im at http://jenz.wordpress.com/
Wow - it is definitely snowing!! I grew up in the north, and my favorite thing then was sledding. When I became and adult - it was sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate and reading a good book.
I'm with Karla -- inside by the fire watching the pretty snow through the window, unless I'm in Colorado. Then I'm definitely skiing, but only for half the day.
It looks so cold there. You should see our bright sunshine today. Love your music - I'm glad to know I'm not the last person on earth who loves Dean Martin. :-)
ah - so glad you got out in the snow!!! good mommy!!!
Snow? What's that? My 15 year old son and I played tennis in shorts today. It was 82.
(But I do love snow.)
Fun party!
Favorite thing to do in the snow? Avoid being in the snow. Curl up with a great book in front of the fireplace. Only problem is - we don't have a fireplace. :) Oh well, I can dream!
Thanks for stopping by my party!
oooh it's just WET here in England at the moment. Dropping in on the party circuit.
Thankfully, the snow is just about gone here in Ohio. I'm starting to feel that spring is coming, even though there's not a lot of indicators of it yet. Maybe it's just that the days are getting longer?
I loved sledding as a child, and still do! Of course, I love roller coasters too; those two kinda go together, huh? And I've been wanting to hook myself up to a hot chocolate IV this winter!
