Caring Bridge

Thank you for your compassionate comments (irrespective of political views) regarding my nephew-in-law's extended deployment. For those of you who wish, you can email (or sign in the guestbook) at Caring Bridge. You can go directly to Chuck's guestbook by clicking on this link.

Caring Bridge is a free web site dedicated to "offering free personalized Web sites to those wishing to stay in touch with family and friends during significant life events. Our mission is to bring together a global community of care powered by the love of family and friends in an easy, accessible and private way." Click here to find out more about this great web service that bridges the gap of distance while a loved one is away.

Thank you for sharing in our prayers for all the troops stationed in far-far-far-away war-zones. This extension news is an unwelcomed burden on the lives and hearts of many American troops and their families. Still, we respect the cause and the goal of this Administration. It is simply a struggle to balance the sacrifice of the duty required with the hoped-for outcome.

In the meantime, we will bridge the gap of time as we earnestly pray for their safe return and for a lasting peace around the world.

Yes, prayers for peace and for the safe return of our brave men and women is imperative.

I used the Caring Bridge site when my daughter was so ill almost three years ago. It's a wonderful organization.

I think this was a great reminder of the people so easily forgotten until a day like 9-11. I will be better about lifting them in prayer everyday.
