MORE JOY!!!!!

A Parent's Blessing

N’er could we have imagined so long ago
How much your hearts would touch our souls
Yes, always through the test of time
You’ve blessed our lives, with joy sublime.

We held you close, we planned, we dreamed
Still, gifts from heaven, God’s plans would deem
Lives far surpassing any parents design
Two hearts joined here, new love entwined.

With joy complete and hearts filled with love,
Spirits full of promise: hope from above,
We bless this union, a love for life
And pray that God bless both husband and wife.

Joy of our life, as you walk side by side
We are not far away; we’re nearby filled with pride
For who you have become and what you always will be
God’s treasured gifts…to your father and me.

How beautiful....and we have something in common....my oldest daughter was married on August 13th too!! I can't wait to get some of her wedding pictures up, but don't have them yet :)

Thank you for your encouragement on my blog. E-mail is a great way to keep up those long-distance relationships. I just linked to your blog and have been reading a bit about your story and my heart is stirred to pray for your family. Your love for the Savior and your son shines through!

Diane, thanks for your comments. I have marked your blog and want to come and read it thoroughly when the bedroom is done. I have a son who I think would fit your description to a T. His name is Zac and he sure needs prayer.

What a beautiful couple your daughter and son-in-law make. And the Parent's Blessing couldn't be more true -- what joy our children bring into our lives.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. You are right, the kitchen's appearance is secondary to having it filled with loved ones!

Beautiful words. I pray I can write words like those to my children someday. Thanks for sharing.
