Oh, my! And getting everyone to church by 8:15 is a real challenge! It used to be 9:30 when my kids were little, and then it was Sunday School, so being a little late wasn't that huge. But walking into the choir loft late would be a bit embarrassing - or worst yet, not being at the organ on time.

Kev will be publishing his 3rd post today. What an interesting assignment you've been given!
I think the dynamics of families have changed so much since we've become a much more mobile society. It's really rare to hear of people staying in the same town in which they grew up.Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00024132046092264711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22456630.post-61950011219397384712007-02-20T16:08:00.000-06:002007-02-20T16:08:00.000-06:00I think one thing would be that fewer families put...I think one thing would be that fewer families put a focus on God. That's a sad change. When my parents were children, they hardly knew anyone that didn't go to church at least on Sunday, now I probably couldn't even count the number of people I know who have no desire to go to church.Heather Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15018641352722945047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22456630.post-69587126253853482452007-02-20T15:28:00.000-06:002007-02-20T15:28:00.000-06:00I went back to a Christian college when I was fort...I went back to a Christian college when I was forty with the goal of getting a degree in Christian Counseling, emphasizing Family Systems. I loved it. Even today while watching a movie that involves family dynamics I analyze the whole setup. Probably miss the rest of what's going on in the movie. On line classes are nice, but also hard. I do hope you enjoy them though.Gardeniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06233358355888022857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22456630.post-78375888779397459982007-02-20T14:22:00.000-06:002007-02-20T14:22:00.000-06:00The closest I came to shopping yesterday was drivi...The closest I came to shopping yesterday was driving past the mall. I'm getting to the point where I'd rather order from a catalogue (sp? for some reason that doesn't look right).
Perhaps that's one of the thing different about families 100 years ago. I don't think they did nearly as much shopping!! They pretty well had to grow, sew or build anything they needed!
I'll be interested to hear what you come up with.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937532276250199445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22456630.post-49828364706199641672007-02-20T12:38:00.000-06:002007-02-20T12:38:00.000-06:00Hard day? I'm part Irish--and my family is very clannish. At one time, most all my cousins and I attended the same church. I could tell you who all my great aunts and uncles were and who their kids were. It's a shame we've lost sight of that in today's world. We need a sense of our heritage. We need our families...each one of them-- including the rogues, scholars, black sheep, and jewels.C. H.
