Wednesdays with Beth

Can you feel the energy? Just looking at this photo gets me ready to be blessed! It's as if God is speaking directly to me! Yes, that's directly to me!

I have been feeling a little sad that I have not been able to participate in the on-line Beth Moore Study group that is taking place in blogdom. I have benefited greatly from previous Beth Moore Bible Studies: Breaking Free, The Beloved Disciple (Following John to the Heart of Jesus), and if there can be a favoirte Beth Moore Study-- A Women's Heart--God's Dwelling Place.

I was thrilled this morning as I was multi-tasking (making my bed and flipping the channels on the bedroom TV!) to discover that Beth Moore is on James Robison's Life Today! Hence forth, every Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. is hereto after referred to as Wednesdays with Beth! Just in case I miss a Wednesday, I have ordered her Wednesday with Beth series on CD. I'm not missing out on this one too!

Today, Beth was speaking on The Law of the Harvest. I am excited to receive the CD's to review more on this principle. She was talking about planting seeds and how the sower must die to herself in order for the harvest of joy to come. This struck a cord with this mom! After all, when we pray for our prodigals, we are planting seeds and expecting a harvest! Soon! We grow inpatient as we stand in the gap and wait for the harvest to grow. Beth reminded me today--that I must die to my expectation, to my time table, to my right to control--I must completely release my seed if I mean what I say--I believe. Powerful message.

This message goes hand in hand with a favorite quote from Beth Moore's Praying Giod's Word. In it she quotes Dennis Jernigan, "True freedom will only bloom in your life when you put on the truth of who God says you are. Knowing who God wants you to be is not the same as practicing who He wants you to be. When life gets complecated and failures abound, turn your heart and mind back to the basics. Remember who you are in Christ, practice being who God says you are, and in time, you'll be walking in the .....hall of freedom."

Mean what I say: I believe God is who I say He is. I believe God will bring forth the harvest in His time. My role is to rest on His promises, His character, His faithfulness. I am not a victim of circumstances--I am walking with Him in the "hall of [His] freedom!"

Some of my favorite bloggers have Wordless Wednesday postings today. Clearly,I have posted too many words to participate. However, Beth Moore's words, whether on Wednesday or any other day ending in an "y"--are words to live by! Make it a walking-in-His-freedom kind of day!

I love Beth's way of softly smacking me upside the head.

I've only done two studies - I finished Breaking Free 2 months ago and am almost done with Living Beyond Yourself. I am convicted by my attitudes and fruit, especially the wimpy, anemic fruit, every week.

I highly encourage anyone who wants to quit being self-absorbed, or who wants to grow, to take Living Beyond Yourself.

Beth looks familiar. I believe I saw her on television when we were flipping channels down in Tennessee on vacation.

I admire spiritual leaders so long as they don't take excessively from the flock for their spiritual vision. There's too much money in evangelism, for my money.

Hope your son finds employment. My older son is also looking.

Would you all please pray with me for the salvation of one of my clients? He is dying of lung cancer. Has weeks to live. Is a Jew, not practicing. She is Christian and just languishing for his soul to be at peace with the Lord. Thank you, so much.

Wow! How inspirational. You know that true freedom can only bloon etc. statement you made. It spoke right into my life. God is doing big things in me right now and sometimes I feel doubt about them but hearing that reminds me he will grow me if I continue in his ways! Thanks for sharing.

I love Beth Moore!

Thanks for stopping in and seeing my mess. The inspiration came from my pride and the fact that I really don't want people to know I live like that! HA HA... now the blogging community knows!
