I Go to the Rock!
Ever had a day like this?

My World is Collapsing Around Me

Oh God—what more can go wrong? How much more can this family face? The only certainty I feel God, is that I am certain this trial will never end!~ When will this attack cease Lord? Where do we go to protect ourselves from the tremblings of this battle?

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent men you save me. II Samuel 22: 2-3

While facing mortal enemies, David must have felt that his world was collapsing under his feet; perhaps even ending in death. However, believing that the only true security was to call upon God—His Rock, he did not hide under the rocks of the desert. He took refuge in his fortress—God. Following his victory over foreign enemies, David sang this song of praise to the Lord.

Response Prayer:

Thank you God, that although my world may appear to be crumbling fast and furious, I can take refuge in you. You are my fortress. You are my stronghold. And should I continue to fall, you will deliver me. You are my unfailing Rock. Please accept this as my song of praise and gratitude for my victory in you!

Praying here as well. I'm here with you Diane. We will go through the fire together. Don't worry, David was victorious and we will be too. Satan knows his time is short, and he is trying to do everything he can to stop us Christians from moving onward. HOLD ON. JOY COMES IN THE MORNING.

AMEN, sister! You get it.

We pray to our God, he shares our pain.

We lift our voices in praise AND in frustration, he shares our pain.

We are human and God knows this, he shares our pain...

May he continue to raise your spirits!

We can be a beacon of light to others, but God is our ultimate light; and in times when darkness prevails, we must remember that the light is still there. He is still there waiting to expose the light.

I too get great comfort from the Psalms in the hour of my distress. Yes, there is the Everlasting Rock, our Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless.
